This project involved converting an existing garage into a writers
studio, a room to watch television and a guest room.
To accommodate all these somewhat disparate uses the bathroom was
designed to be both usable and also a design feature. The graphics
applied to the bathroom are supposed to show the event of someone
carelessly leaving on the tap and creating a flood.
The bathroom is only partly private because as a guest room it
is separated just enough from the rest of house to afford privacy.
The bookshelves are designed to accommodate an ever changing collection
of books. The shelves can be added or subtracted depending on the
size of the collection. This flexibility came in handy during design
because the actual size of the collection was impossible to determine.
