The hills surrounding Los Angeles often have the appearance of fading endlessly into the distance with each hill looking vaguer and more mysterious than the one in front of it. It is this endless silhouette of mountain profiles that we aimed to recreate with the undulating and unique rooflines of each building. Not only does this design approach give each building a unique profile and personality, but it also ties each house into a cohesive whole.

To enhance the individuality of each unit we designed one façade as a 'living' wall which functions like scaffolding: the façade is occupiable and can be used for growing plants - like a vertical garden that will made each home a unique tapestry.
